About our tours

The Lincoln Museum is open daily year round, and school and group tours are always welcome. Museum hours are Monday through Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 12:30 to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

The Museum is in a National Register of Historic Buildings site, located in the Downtown Historic District of Hodgenville behind the Lincoln Statue, approximately a 60-minute bus drive from Louisville.

The tour experience offers a lesson in history, 19th-century culture, art and architecture.

Groups are provided a one-hour tour through 12 scenes from the period beginning with 1809 and ending in 1865. For additional group tour details click here.

The scenes feature wax figures in scenes depicting key events in the life of Abraham Lincoln and the history of the United States in that period.

The second level of the museum house an original Lincoln Art Collection, changing exhibits, and a 21-minute film about Lincoln.
