The
Lincoln Museum is open daily year round, and school and group tours
are always welcome. Museum hours are Monday through Saturday 8:30
a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 12:30 to 5 p.m. Eastern time.
The
Museum is in a National Register of Historic Buildings site, located
in the Downtown Historic District of Hodgenville behind the Lincoln
Statue, approximately a 60-minute bus drive from Louisville.
The
tour experience offers a lesson in history, 19th-century culture,
art and architecture.
Groups
are provided a one-hour tour through 12 scenes from the period
beginning with 1809 and ending in 1865. For additional group tour

The
scenes feature wax figures in scenes depicting key events in the
life of Abraham Lincoln and the history of the United States in that period.
The
second level of the museum house an original Lincoln Art Collection,
changing exhibits, and a 21-minute film about Lincoln.
